Well done. Makes you wonder why nobody ever thought of having good in-depth journalism that readers were prepared to pay for before now. Must be some new-fangled notion. There's other young, thrusting people with similar ideas who I'm sure you could get in touch with, such as Joseph Gales or James Montgomery ... oh, wait, we have done it before. We just forgot how.
As a newcomer to Sheffield, I thought I’d try and familiarise myself with the city and area by taking out a subscription to The Star. As the man said, Wadda mistayka to mayka! I recently came across David Bocking’s wonderful Bill’s Mother’s (which I can’t recommend too highly - it’s lovely!), and from there I found The Tribune, and also The Post (I grew up on the Wirral). It’s like finding a clear stream after having confronted a water company outfall 😀. Thank you so much!!
Thanks Dan and Victoria for writing interesting stories about Sheffield. As a journalist a long time ago, I really appreciate the effort and skill that goes into your stories - which are well written and relevant to Sheffielders. Here’s to the Trib 🍻
In retrospect, I shouldn’t be so rude about The Star, but honestly, it’s such a chore wading though all the adverts in the online version that I often give up. The e-paper is a little better, but the letters page - always one of the most interesting pages in a newspaper - is full of ranting and conspiracy theories, which indicates what The Star’s intended readership is. I doesn’t surprise me that some of its journalists want out.
Many congratulations on all your hard work.
Really look forward to reading the thoughtful and interesting articles each week.
Onward and upward. 👏📈🥳
Thanks mum 🙏

Haha, thanks Robin 🙏 Very glad that journalists these days don't tend to get locked up in jail unlike in Gales and Montgomery's time!
;-) Sure of that? https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2022/dec/21/hertfordshire-police-admit-unlawfully-arresting-journalist-at-just-stop-oil-protest
Great news! Congratulations.
Many thanks Thomas!
Well done and congratulations, this is great news!
Cheers Marta 🙏
Fantastic news, well done!
Thanks Bridget!
Brilliant Dan. Well done to all.
“Build it and they will come”
Yep - be that ghostly baseball stadiums or new media organisations! Thanks very much Chris 🙏
Great news! (see what I did there?)
Hopefully your model can be replicated in other cities across the country. I love what you do!
Thanks John. Watch this space!
Congratulations to all the Miller family!

This seems like good news but I do worry; what do the investors have a say in? They must be able to dictate some things some way, right?
Congratulations to all of you! You've earned this success and I'm very much looking forward to seeing where it leads. Well done.
