Thank goodness I don't get involved in election campaigns anymore. Most bone wearying activity I ever undertook. Turnouts as always will be low. Injuries from dog bites and letterboxes snapping on to fingers will occur. Cynicism and abuse on the doorsteps will be disheartening. Only crazy people go campaigning in local elections. Party politics at a community level seems so divisive to me. The "reclaiming control" aim voiced by a labour representative worries me.
