Yesterday was one of the most (perhaps the most?) exciting day in Tribune history and we're still buzzing this morning.
It started with thousands of copies of our 5-year special edition arriving, an actual physical newspaper (after the poor delivery man eventually managed to navigate the one way system). Our office is now full of stacks and stacks of them.

It was time to hit the streets and get the good words into people's hands. We headed to Fargate to distribute our newspapers to the masses.

Then, in the evening we had our fifth birthday! Members thronged to Leah's Yard, where we had drinks, pizza and some great chats about stories – one from each year of The Tribune's life.
But the most exciting thing was the flying start to our campaign. In just one day – one day! — we had 78 people get on board to support our big push for 1,000 new members.

It's incredible progress — and shows that people want to see us deliver on our five pledges. But there's still 922 to go to hit our big goal. It remains a terrifyingly huge undertaking – but we refuse to be daunted.
You haven't joined us yet — which means you are one of the 922 we need! We're offering a pay what you want deal for two months: you can go full price, half price, or if you're really not sure, completely free. It all gets us towards that big goal of 1,000 new members and making Sheffield a better place. Hit that button below and get us one closer — it all counts.

We're so excited to be underway. We'll be out and about today, at the station and cathedral tram stop — then next week we're heading into some different neighbourhoods across the city. We'll keep you posted with where to find us.
Until then, hit that button and help us to get there.
