Plus, Eccy Road Co-op freezers: the album

Everyone knows that Sheffield FC is the oldest football club in the world. The club, which was formed in 1857, holds an exalted position in the beautiful game’s pantheon, which has seen it visited by some of the world’s most famous players, including Brazilian legend Pele in 2007. “Without Sheffield FC, there wouldn't be a me,” he famously said.

But the last few decades have been tough for “the world’s first”. For 26 years they’ve been playing their games at the Coach and Horses pub in Dronfield, and a planned big money move back to a new stadium at Meadowhead looks to have gone quiet. Could new owners breathe new life into the jewel in Sheffield's football crown? That’s today’s big story.

As well as that, we have an update about Andrew Milne, an album of music based on the world-famous Ecclesall Road Co-op freezers, and a competitively-priced home in Totley.
